It all starts with a decision. Whatever will become of us is the result of those decisions. You might say, “I didn’t decide on this. I never wanted this!”. That’s your perspective, but to me it’s all the same. Whether you admit it or not, it was still your decision. Even if you said that somebody else made that decision for you. It was still your decision to let them do that for you. You chose not to decide to avoid bearing the responsibility. Wait, let me rephrase that; you decided to pass the burden of that responsibility to another person.
By passing that burden to somebody else, you thought you’ve outsmart them, but in truth you just gave them the “push-up”. A what? – it means you gave them your chance. The thing about chance is that it’s like a double-edged sword. If you succeed with the opportunity presented, you will harvest its rewards. But if you fail, you will be re-routed to an unknown territory and start all over again until you get another chance. Going back, when you pass your burden to somebody else, you also pass your chance to succeed.
